Job Description

Drivers required to work for a variety of local distribution companies in Huntingdon and St.Neots. You will be driving HGV, LGV, 7.5 ton, C1 Vehicles. The work and contracts are varied but will be running out from local Operating Centres. Your duties will include, but not limited to, the safe and timely distribution of goods to customers. These vacancies are multi-drop and drivers must be prepared for this type of work which will include handballing.

Candidate Specification

Must hold a valid HGV, LGV, 7.5 ton, C1 Licence with no more than 6 penalty points for insurance purposes. Also for insurance purposes must be aged 23 years or over. Must hold a valid DQC and digi-tacho card. The Clients you will be working for are classed as ‘General Haulage’ companies and therefore the load you will be carrying can vary day-to-day. Please be aware; due to the nature of multi-drop work, drivers must be physically fit due to manual handling involved.

Qualifications & Experience

• HGV
• LGV
• DQC Card
• Digital Tachograph Card

• Physically fit and prepared to do handballing
• Experience in multi-drop
• Aged 23 years or over for insurance purposes
• No more than 6 penalty points for insurance purposes
• Limited Company drivers must produce; valid Public Liability Insurance Certificate, Certificate of Incorporation with Companies House and copy of Company Bank Account details

Rate of Pay / Salary / Hours of Work

• £11.00 per hour basic Monday to Friday
• £14.30 per hour weekends, guaranteed 8 hours
